One of the best parts of life is taking photos of family.
And that's what I got to do recently. I have had the privilege to watch as Hannah and Benjamin pursued God first in their relationship, and as they faced challenges together.
I am beyond excited to be able to say I took photos during this special time in their lives.
Hannah wore a beautiful, red floral dress which was the perfect combination of feminine and chic. Florals are a major 'yes' in my book.
When we arrived at Cane Creek Park (one of my most favorite locations ever), it was mid-day. Most people love the golden hour, and believe me-- I do as well. But there's so much light available right when the sun is the highest in the sky. I almost never feel rushed, and I don't have to move as much with the light-- because it's all right there.
Hannah's makeup reminded me of something I include in my style guides: I always encourage girls to wear more makeup than they might normally. It shows up great on camera! Hannah's was natural glam: concealer, foundation, blush, highlighter, eye shadow, eyeliner, and mascara. Her look wasn't at all overdone, but still showed up beautifully on camera.
The best thing about Cane Creek Park are all the different spots within the location. I was able to find a shaded tree. Notice the gorgeous (yet still soft) sunlight...
My last sub-location (that's a thing, right?) was a cute little dock by the water.
Ahh! Weren't these two the cutest?! I loved getting to take their engagement photos, especially since I almost didn't get to do it for them. It's a joy to capture couples and see their real-life connection.
I love you, H&B.
